What’s in my Shower?
As a beauty writer for national publications, testing products is a huge part of the job. Some days my shower looks like a retail store with several bottles of shampoos and conditioners, masks, scalp scrubs, and, of course, soap, body wash, scrubs, and razors.
Here are the products that I like enough to give a permanent spot to in shower caddy.
-

Arey Wash Shampoo
This clean shampoo is designed with a complex said to help delay grey hair and reduce common signs of aging hair. I only have a couple of gray strands, so I’m game to see if it will keep more grays away longer. It’s too soon to tell, but my hair is softer and smoother when I use this shampoo.
-

Arey Scrub Scalp Exfoliant
I’ve also been using Arey’s scalp exfoliant, which contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid to loosen dead skin, plus the brand’s pigment-preserving peptide. I tend to get itchy and flaky, and since I’ve been using this regularly, I haven’t had any inflammation or visible flakes.
-

Rōz Foundation Shampoo
I’ve written about this one before. It’s a new favorite that I alternate with whatever else I’m testing. It makes my hair shiny and smooth but not too soft that it falls flat. It’s one of the most perfect shampoos I’ve ever used (and I’ve used a lot over the years).

Flamingo Razor Shaving Set for Women - 5-Blade Razor, Nourishing Shave Oil
I upgraded my usual disposable razor to Flamingo a while back. The razor gives a smooth shave with less nicks. And the brand’s shave oil leaves my skin super soft after every shower.

Jones Road Body Scrub
This new scrub from the Jones Road body collection sloughs away dull, dead skin without feeling sharp and scratchy. It’s made with jojoba oil, bamboo powder, and caffeine.
