Summer Beauty
It’s still spring, but it sure feels like summer on Long Island. I’ve been testing summer beauty products from self-tanners that look believable to the most perfect cheek stain that won’t melt away in the heat. Here are the products I’ve been loving lately.
-
Jones Road Beauty Your Skin Foundation Stick, $38
I love a foundation stick — so easy, especially for travel. This one from Jones Road has the same creamy, skin-like finish the line is known for. I swipe it on, blend with a brush, and it looks like real skin, only glowier.
-
St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mousse, $36
I’m bad with self-tanner. I always end up with a splotch or streak here and there. I recently tried this one and was pleasantly surprised. I applied it with a mitt, let it sit for one to two hours, and rinsed. I had a believable bronze — no streaks.
-
The Tan Edit Water Veil, $44
I love a tanning water because it’s so easy to apply and develops into a seamless facial tan. This one has a superfine mist that sprays on skin evenly, and it smells incredible. After several hours, it develops into a gorgeous glow without any streaks or splotches.
-
Victoria Beckham Colour Wash Blush in Flushed, $46
I love a cream blush, but in summer, it usually melts quickly. So I’ve recently started using this cheek stain. It looks bright, but the red tint blends out to a sheer and pretty flush that lasts for hours.
-
Joonbyrd Future Romance Longevity Glaze, $78
It’s the summer of banana! Banana-scented products are popping up all over this season, including this body lotion. It not only smells delicious, but it stimulates collagen and elastin, too.
-
Indie Lee Daily SPF Primer SPF 50, $46
It looks and feels like a skin tint with that serum-y feel and a golden tinted shade, but it’s broad-spectrum sun protection. When layered under makeup, it gives my skin a gorgeous radiance.
