How She Got That Hair
When I spotted Gabriella Duret, Aesthetic Experience Manager for Evolus, with these glamorous waves at makeup artist Erica Taylor’s 50th birthday, I had to know how she created them. Here’s what she said:

October brings a sea of pink ribbons and breast cancer awareness merch, but I’m thoughtful about where I spend my money. I want to know that my purchase is making a difference, not just wearing the message. That’s why the Shimmer for a Cure collection from Shimmer by Cindy caught my eye: 25 percent of profits go to METAvivor, an organization dedicated to funding research for metastatic breast cancer, which receives a fraction of the attention it deserves. My mom died from MBC, and one of my best friends has been living with it for years, so this cause is especially close to my heart. The fact that the collection includes genuinely pretty, wearable pieces, like these earrings in the MBC colors, makes it even more appealing. I have the bracelet, too.
A Maroon Moment
Burgundy lips, oxblood nails, wine-colored handbags: Maroon is bringing the drama this fall, with a rich, sultry shade that feels equal parts luxe and sexy. The deep, saturated shade feels sultry and a little rebellious, with an edge that works just as well on a cashmere sweater as it does on a manicure. It has all the richness of a classic fall color, with the same dramatic, goes-with-everything appeal as black.
