Vintage Glass Nails Are Having a Moment
The antique-inspired manicure is showing up on Instagram and in salons as a more artful take on magnetic and glazed nails.
Calling it now: vintage glass nails are the next big nail trend. Inspired by antique glassware, the look is defined by translucent layers, light-reflective shine, and a subtle linear texture that creates depth and movement across the nail. According to Cassie Longnecker, nail pro and owner of Cass Pro Studios in Oakdale, the effect comes down to thoughtful layering and contrast. “I layered color gel with magnetic polish, focusing the magnet particles in different areas of the nail for dimension, then used a velvet matte topcoat with glossy striping on top to create that ribbed, glass-like effect.”
